I think Patrick Willis just killed Brad Smith, only Brad Smith didn't know he was dead. He got up, took a few steps, then decided to go to sleep.

Most exciting division in football.

Glad to see it return to it's old school form, except the Pats now trade spots with the Bills.

Re: Jets @ 49ers

The Jets getting Favre has een a colossal disappointment- I've always had low expectations so I saw it coming from a mile away. Like I always said, if Favre plays like he did in 05-06, he'll be mediocre. I've been right so far.

I find it very hard to believe that the Jets would be worse than 8-5 with Pennington at the helm. In fact, I'd say that they would be 9-4 at least while the Phins would be a 3 win team without Chad. He'll hopefully win comeback player of the year... the Phins are a miracle team right now.

The Week 17 Phins vs. Jets game will be crazy. I know its blasphemy, but seeing Chad in the playoffs would be awesome.

Favre isn't the problem. Pennington isn't going to help the D cover the WR's or rush the passer. The main problems with this team has been the pass defense and playcalling. Schottenheimer gives up on the run waaay too early.

Didn't see this coming. Niners are 3-3 under Singletary and have won 2 in a row.

I'd agree with Spectre... a little. They'd run a lot more if they didn't have Favre imo, and Favre's inconsistency shouldn't deserve that type of power on that team. I wouldn't say he's a huge disappointment though. The team is tied for first place in the division, and if they make the playoffs, his experience alone will be a huge plus. Overall I do think they should've kept Chad in a perfect world, but the world isn't perfect and Chad needed a change of scenery.
