Who is your MVP and defensive POY?

After watching some major networks and surfing the web I noticed this is one of the most wide open MVP races in recent history. So who ya got??

MVP: Drew Brees - Don't know where the Saints would be without him. Of all the injuries they've had this year, he's been the constant and has played on fire all year.

Defensive POY: Albert Haynesworth - Polamalu and Porter?? I love Polamalu, but Haynesworth is an absolute load to contain. Not to mention he has to deal with double and triple blocking all game. I don't get caught up in the sack numbers and stats.

How can you have DPOY, mention Polamalu and Porter, but say nothing about JAMES HARRISON?

15 sacks - #3 in league
7 forced fumbles - #1 in league
89 tackles - #2 on best defense in league (and that's from OLB in a 3-4... not the best position to get tackles... Joey Porter has less than half as many)
...add in an INT there too.

I just mentioned the two players who everyone is mentioning. I do think Harrison should be mentioned just as much as Polamalu and Porter though.

Re: Who is your MVP and defensive POY?

My MVP pick would be Matt Ryan only if the Falcons made the playoffs. Without him, I'm pretty sure the Falcons wouldn't be in the hunt for a playoff spot this year.

If not Ryan, then I'd probably vote for Kurt Warner for MVP. He's playing at a high level for his age and continues to do so each and every single week. He's already clinched a playoff spot with the Cardinals.

Defensive play of the year would probably go to Troy Polamalu or James Harrison.

Re: Who is your MVP and defensive POY?

MVP: Kurt Warner
Defensive POY: Demarcus Ware (admittedly a homer pick)
