DPOY-WAre

19 sacks, 74 Tackles, 4 FFs, and a formidable run stopper. The best player on a defense that has been the best over the last 5 weeks. What do y'all think?

Re: DPOY-WAre

Haynesworth should get it, and it's not close.

Due to his "issues' and recent injury I doubt he does.

Re: DPOY-WAre

I'd put Ware at 1b, though.

I think the Steelers D would have something to say about this... The Steelers D has given up 13 or less pts in the past 5 weeks which exceeds what the Cowboy D has done.

I'm a homer. I'd vote for James Harrison as DPOY.

No doubt about it.

Re: DPOY-WAre

Haynesworth is obviously one of the most dominant players of the year, but I doubt he wins it because of his position. He is also at a disadvantage because of being out the last two weeks, and with his sack numbers.

I know 8 sacks for Haynesworth is a very good number for a DT, and Sacks arent a good way to judge DTs...but the DTs that have won recently all had very high sack numbers. Kennedy had 16 sacks the year he won it, Sapp had 13, and Stubblefield had 15.

again, I dont think sacks are the only way to judge a Dlineman, but when it comes to this award...most Dlinemen that have won it have had dominant pass rushing years.

Ware is closing in on the all time sack record. That is pretty interesting to say that it shouldnt be close.

It's an award for the defensive player that is having the best year. Ware is having one of the best years for a pass rusher ever.
