Does the firing of the coach make the jets a better team?

yes, it could. Tons of people are hailing Cowher as the next coach for fill in the blank but if Cowher coached for any other franchise besides the Steeler he would have been fired. Stick with Man find and find a qb.

Grunt the owner set Mangini up to fail with all the off-season moves he made. Everything the Owner & GM did was about winning the BIG-SHOW this year. After the Titans win the Jets were being hailed as the team to beat in the AFC. Heck here in NYC there was talk about an all NY SB. & look what happen the Jets lose 4 of their last 5. All games they should have won.

As for Cowher. I seriously doubt Cohwer will take the JETS job or any other job next year. What the Jets need is a coach who really knows how to motive his team. A coach who isn't afraid to wear his feelings on his sleeve. Both in game & with the media. Also I think Cowher wants full control of any team he coaches in reference to Player Personal decisions.

Should be interesting who they bring-in

Love it- Mangini made a ton of boneheaded moves that were reminiscent of Herm's worst moments. He just didn't have the "it" factor I see in a coach.

Also, the 3-4 experiment has got to end. I hope the Jets don't restrict themselves to a 3-4 coach. They have a guy getting 24 million guaranteed that had 12 tackles all year that they need to get some value out of... not to mention the defense blew chunks anyway.

Hopefully, their attachment to the terrible Kellen Clemens is over now too. I feel myself starting to like this team a lot again.

The Jets front office never ceases to amaze me with their maneuvering.
