Wow...big shocker. Some coach is going to get a real nice offense with Denver and some team is going to get a real nice coach in Shanahan.

Mike Martz has just been fired as offensive coordinator in San Francisco earlier today. I wonder if the Broncos had and eye out for him when they decided to let Shanahan go.

Good riddance Shanahan.

All bias aside though, he'll be picked up by someone in no time. Love him, or hate him, he won Super Bowls, and averages almost 10 wins per season (not including his second year coaching Oakland). I'd take him over any other coach recently fired in a heartbeat.

Ha, perfect plan Denver. Rebuild that defense with MIKE MARTZ at the helm.

Re: Broncos Fire Mike Shanahan

I have mixed feelings on this but to be honest, I was kinda feeling that they needed to fire him before this year. I like Shanny, but he hasn't done squat since the Broncos made the AFC Championship game vs. the Steelers, and the SB wins.

I'll miss him but I agree it's the best thing for the Broncos and him, sometimes change is the only cure in the medicine cabinet. Only problem for the Broncos is that there are mostly garbage coaches available now. My buddy is a Buc fan and now wants Gruden to be dismissed so the Bucs can get Shanny, I don't think he would fit in well there simply because he is a western style run and gun outscore your opponent type coach, whereas the Bucs are a defensive type team (not this year tho).
