Dick Jauron STAYS As Bills Head Coach

WHAT...THE...HELL?!??!?!

Dick Jauron has been retained as head coach by the Buffalo Bills for the 2009 season. This disclosure was made today by Bills owner, Ralph C. Wilson, Jr.

Mr. Wilson stated “It is well known that I share many of the fans’ dissatisfaction with our offensive game management. That being said, I believe that this team, at this time, is better served by continuity in the coaching staff rather than a disruptive overhaul. The team played hard all year long and there are many positives to build on. This is not to say that we will be complacent. In my discussions with Dick and our senior football people the issues are recognized and I am confident they will be addressed.”

Wilson added “I believe in the last few years we have gotten close personnel wise and look forward to another strong draft, more assertive veteran leadership and continued improvement from our young quarterback.”
ONLY IN BUFFALO, FOLKS! Leave it to the Bills to make such a laughable move. Unbelievable. It truly proves that the Bills are one of the most backward organizations in all of football.

I'll believe it tomorrow, they said that is when they'd make the announcement.

It may not be in the form of a press conference, but that's official enough for me. WGRZ over here reported the news first, I went to the Bills website afterward and saw a large picture of Jauron, the headline reading "Jauron Retained As Head Coach", followed by the report I posted above.

I'm not spending any of my money on this team next year. It's so stupid it's hilarious. Total proof that Ralph has no business in modern professional football.

...someone's got some 'splainin' to do...

Ugh, I thought his fate was sealed when he let JP Losman throw late in that Jets game. Guess I was wrong.

Part of me likes it. The turnover in Buffalo coaching has been pretty disgusting. So it's good to have continunity. But then I realize it's Jauron and while he seems like a good guy and all of that, he's just not a good coach and not a coach to lead this team into the playoffs.

Re: Dick Jauron STAYS As Bills Head Coach

So your starting quarterback gets hurt and your supposed to win?

Buffalo is a team that doesn't have the talent to win 10 games or more. So when they started out fast I think they overacheived.

Why would you want to fire Jauron when there are other coaching vacancies and besides Cleveland, Buffalo would be the worst destination.....

I am glad Jauron is coming back. Next year playoffs.
