I remember the greatest show on turf but I still dont think a few years in that offense suddenly means he is hall of fame worthy. Like I said, Im assuming Im by myself on this, especially considering he is the top story in sports right now and has everyones sentimental pick for the hall because of what he did this season and in the playoffs thus far.

If so, then yes because Warner is more accomplished.
Thats assuming I think Fouts deserved to be in the hall and besides his 40,000+ yards passing, he had a terrible TD-INT split (254-242) so Im not a huge believer in Fouts either. Now if this is a question as to whether we think he will get in then I dont doubt it based on who else is in there currently, but I assumed this was a question as to whether or not we, the fans, thought he deserved to be in the hall or not.

Re: Is Kurt Warner a HOF QB?

  • Only QB to throw for 300+ yards in his first 3 NFL starts.
  • His 1999-2001 Rams are the only NFL team to score 500 points in three consecutive seasons.
  • The forgotten years of 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 will hurt Warner for HOF consideration. Last year he got back respectability with 27 TDs and 17 Ints, and this year is probably his greatest since winning the SB for the '99 season.
Tough call, but a trip to the Super Bowl this year might get him in.

Re: Is Kurt Warner a HOF QB?

I dunno. He's had a few amazing years. But he's only been his team's primary starting quarterback for seven of his eleven seasons, and two of those seven he got benched towards the end of the season due to poor performance in favor of a rookie quarterback. When you break his career down, he's had three awesome seasons, two good seasons, two so-so seasons, and five seasons as a backup.

He's a good quarterback, but he's been blessed with some amazing offenses around him(Holt/Bruce/Faulk & Boldin/Fitzgerald/Breaston). I'd say no Hall just yet.

Re: Is Kurt Warner a HOF QB?

He deserves it as much as Terrell Davis does. So yeah but not on first ballot.

That's the best comparison I've ever heard. You hit the nail on the head.
