Steve Smith's attitude toward Jake Delhomme

This is just one of the reasons I really like Smith. I wonder what T.O. would say if he were in Smith's shoes?

Re: Steve Smith's attitude toward Jake Delhomme

I know that Smith caught some flack for the sucker punch in training camp. (well deserved IMO). But the way that story opens says a lot about his character away from the game.

Quote:
Jake Delhomme didn't walk out of Bank of America Stadium alone Sunday.

Steve Smith walked with him.
It's a small gesture like that that will go a long way to helping Delhomme bounce back from a terrible playoff game.

Jake has been a turnover machine since he started playing in the NFL.

I live in Charleston, SC and the local newspaper here was calling for the Release of Jake Delhomme after his loss to the Cardinals...but anyway.

I thank it may be time to part ways with Jake, even tho he just didnt seem himself in that game, I thank both sides need a new start.

Smith is a franchise player period. You dont find players like him anymore.

He's had some high interception numbers, but he's still had a positive touchdown to interception ratio ever since he came into the league (Well, excluding 1999 when he played a little for the Saints). I don't know if I'd call him a "turnover machine."

TO publicly cried for his QB, Smith didn't. So what I gather, Smith is just masking his hate for Jake, by saying this, inside though he wants to sucker punch Jake in the face.
