Jon Gruden can take the Indy job, and win a superbowl with another Dungy Built team.

Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

Coach Tomlinson said it the best. A reporter asked him about how some players felt that he was a better coach this year than last year and he said it wasn't the players jobs to evaluate the coach but it was his job to evaluate the players.

Calling players to ask them how they felt about a tough coach doesn't make sense. The Bucs folding last year is organizational/team issue and not just a coach issue. His inability to settle on a qb is an legitimate issue but that as much as a front office issue as a coaching issue.

Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

Jeff Garcia was clearly the best qb for the bucs.

Just that gruden didn't like him. And that qb carousel was brutal.

I've heard that he just like getting veterans because he couldn't be bothered with teaching rookies.

That may have contributed to the Grazer's firing him.

Rich Gannon type of qb would be a good fit for Gruden coaching style. I would to hear Gruden tearing a new one for Romo get that friggin smile off his face. I watched a show when Gruden was "coaching" Simms it was painful/ A really tough coach and his offensive system have ton of verbage.

Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

I hear ya on the verbage thing. I remember seeing a show like that.

Gruden comes off as kinda of a jerk to me. very arrogant and unsympthatetic. From what i've seen. I don't know who he really is.

For someone that goes to work at 5 in the morning and doesn't leave till 7 at night. He sure hasn't gotten much results.

Re: JON GRUDEN FIRED

In the "not so surprising news" department, the Glazer's spoke with players and asked their opinion on Gruden and they didnt back him or have kind things to say about him. Said he was a coward, would tell you one thing to your face and do another. I think thats a BIG reason he is gone.

He didnt installany consistent offense, they didnt go after any players, they didnt upgrade at QB, never coached up guys. Weve been running the same offense with essentially the same type of players for 6 years. NEWS FLASH. It doesnt work!!!
