Of course, the Panthers would have the option to accept or decline any trade offer Carey brings to the table, and it’s unlikely if this were to come to fruition that he’d go anywhere in the NFC South. Peppers seems to like the Houston area, so the Texans are certainly an option. Imagine Peppers playing opposite former North Carolina State star Mario Williams?

Re: Wow, Peppers wants to leave?

The best option (and the one that won't happen) is that we fire Trgovac and bring in a d-coordinator that runs a 3-4. Unfortunately this franchise is unbelievably stubborn when it comes to replacing coaching staff, and we will be stuck with one of the worst d-coordinators in the NFL for at least 3 more years IMO. Look how long it took to get rid of Dan Henning, and how much our offense has improved in just 2 years under the new coordinator. So, thats the best thing to do IMO.

I know he wasn't an FA, and I just threw his name out there for "General Purpose"...Since it was another one of those Redskins blunders...much like just about every signing they've ever made.

B- Very true and that is probably the biggest problem. Though, Thomas wasn't over the hill when they signed him, so he'd be perfect on the other side.

Pep is my boy. But this is a "good" thing. You have to wonder about Pep's skills @ this juncture. How much motivated is he going to be when he gets his money? Is he on the juice & is that the explanation for his play in 07 in comparison to 08? Panthers should work this in a way to get into this year's draft, wrap up Gross, & fill in those pieces that they are missing in the seconday & backfield.

Blunder? Lavar was an all pro. He butted heads with Williams and GW refused to play him... pretty stupid actually. Then he got in the motorcycle accident which I wouldn't call a "blunder". I have to defend the Skins a bit here. Carter was great this year, finally playing at his natural position. Outside of being hurt, Taylor made comments about how he'd be effective if they played him at his natural position instead of moving him around... sounds like more coaching blunders than signing the wrong players.

They've signed a lot of stinkers but not recently. Bringing Smoot back worked out great and signing Hall did too. He can't stay healthy but Springs has been great for them when on the field. Moss has been at least as good as Coles would've been.

Recently, I'd say their success percentage is at least as good as most teams in the league.

Re: Wow, Peppers wants to leave?

The Broncs are switching to a 3-4.

Just sayin.

My only question is how is going to cover slot recievers?? Or even a tight end?
