Capers New Packers DC

I really like this hire by the Packers. His defenses were very good when he was a DC. This should make the Packers more competitive within the division.

We can trade if you'd like but not if it's McDermott

They are switching to a base 3-4.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel over the weekend pointed out that Capers defense rated higher than Haslett's in every category except for takeaways.

Based on the coaches they were interviewing, they were going for a big named coordinator.

I think McCarthy went for a big name, proven DC because he knows his job is almost on the line(I don't think it should but after the mess that happened last summer, unfortunately it might just be)rather than go for a young, up and comer. I personally wanted us to get McDermott due to the fact that with him, we would still be able to keep some resemblence of our Bump and Run Defense and blitz more often. Not sure how the 3-4 really works but wouldn't it require your Corners to play more Zone than Man Coverage

Also going to be interesting to see how Aaron Kampman will adjust to having to drop into coverage more often as opposed to just rushing the passer.

ANYTHING other than Bad News Bob running the Defense.

You have no idea how I would like for this to happen. Hopefully Ted won't hold back on FA like he has in previous years.
