Elaborating on the point in bold, I believe that the Falcons led the league in rushing at least one year when Vick was there with Warrick Dunn and T.J. Duckett. I agree with everything you've said, though.

The QB position is a position of intelligence, not a position of athleticism. Someone like Michael Vick is never going to be an elite QB in the NFL because he does not have a brain power to do so. And it's pretty apparent Vince Young was Michael Vick 2.0. How did that work out? Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, Steve Young, and John Elway were examples of great "hybrid" QB's; they could do both run and pass because they had the intelligence to understand defenses, and when to run and pass. Michael Vick, and now Vince Young are clearly people who never had, nor ever will have the intelligence needed to be a great NFL QB.

Defenses were intimidated by Vick's athleticism, not his mind. And by the age of 30 he will be a washed up NFL QB because his legs/body will start to slow down, and that takes away his greatest asset. Those other QB's didn't stay in the league for so long because they could run; they stayed in because they made good decisions. It's pretty clear Mr. Vick is not capable of making good decisions.

He's a nobody, and will always be a nobody.
