Was the 1992 NFL draft the worst of all time?

and what a year to have them, lol.

Looking at it, though, you have to give Dallas some credit for that draft...
Kevin Smith (key role on SB teams)
Darren Woodson (HOF, imo)


Robert Porcher had a solid career in Detroit, as has Jason Hanson.

Can someone remind me how Ty Detmer fell all the way to Round 9 after the career he had in college?? I'm not saying he was or would have been great in the NFL...but how did such a celebrated QB fall to Round 9?

What happend to Ken Swilling???? I can't find anything about him other than an article from the S.I. Vault dated 8-26-91

He was a beast, 6-3 236, ran a 4.41 40, and was projected as a top 5 pick in the 1991 draft after being one of the best players on Georgia Tech's 1990 co-national championship team (Colorado)

Instead he stayed for his senior year, and dropped to Round 5, Pick 184 - Tampa Bay

Did he get hurt in 91 at Georgia Tech? Was he a complete bust? It is unbelievable how so many top college football players from the early 90's didn't pan out in the NFL.

I understand that, but if you listed all of the All-Pro players and all of the Super Bowl starters any other year would absolutely dwarf 1992.

I don't think it was the worst,in fact it wasnt all that bad IMO, my cowboys got some good players out of it.This years draft didnt exactly have any "franchise" players in it.
