And lets face it, even at his best, he's a one dimensional player, who really doesn't fit what Dallas wants to do at that position on defense. Plus I believe they need to shed some money for the Ware contract when it's time for a re-up.

Was listening to GAC on the way home the other day, they were saying some of Jerry's coporate sponsorship and naming rights money isn't what he expected to, and that he may have over extended himself on the new stadium. Any truth to that?

Not if you ask rex ryan, Jimmy Johnson, giants, etc. I say over load and get at these spread offenses.

I think his money is not what it use to be relative to his big real estate deal.

true he never was a good cover guy anyway (kinda important detail for a safety), so he couldnt really afford to become such an underachiever in the sport

yea right now he's not having any luck finding sponsors. I would bet that is a reason why he is letting players go and not signing any big free agents.

I would think Ringling Brothers would be interested in sponsoring because the franchise is such a circus

If you say so. In Ryan's case specifically he's the ultimiate example of using his safeties as interchangable pieces and not having a purely one dimensional run only safety. Nor does he exclusively bring that safety in to the box. He gives so many exotic formations and personel groups, you can't really call it any one thing.

JJ, and Ryan also has/had a set of personnel that few other teams have.

As far as the Giants, they get enough of a rush rushing 4, that it's not like they bring the house that often.

Not to mention there's a huge difference in running a bunch of exotic zone blitzes and playing a traditional 8 in the box style of defense.

Ed Reed is a special player. He can play in the box, out the box where ever but Landry before his injury was a SS. He is Buddy Boy and stopping the run and getting after the passers with multiple fronts and overloads is the name of the game.

Do, I have to quote out of Rex Ryan coaching the 46. I wanted Rex over Wade but oh well.

A team draft for their scheme. Adrian is an in the box safety that get his blitz on, I think a similar scheme would get the most out of Roy Williams meager skills.
