Oh man, this sounds messed up. Gone are the days of NFL players being role models.

No idea. It was early, early morning, dude just got off his shift and was trying to catch the bus.

Who knows anything yet. I really hope Stallworth wasn't on anything.

Im not good with laws but if the dude was crossing illegally, Stallworth would be off the hook with Manslaughter charges right?

There are two different kinds of Manslaughter.

Voluntary and Involuntary. It really depends on what Stallworth was doing. If he was drunk, watching a movie, whatever, it's Involuntary. If he knew the dude and was waiting for him to get off his shift so he could run him over, then it's Voluntary.

If it's any kind, it's going to be Involuntary.

Re: Donte Stallworth detained in Florida

Actually, if he was waiting for the dude to run him over. That'd be premeditated vehicular homicide, not voluntary manslaughter.

You're right, my bad. Voluntary would have been this dude pissing Donte off and Donte running him over.

Doesn't change the fact that these things do actually happen to REGULAR PEOPLE. Link---LINK

Is it a horrible thing to happen? Yes.

However, I seriously doubt he wanted to crash his Bentley into a jaywalker.

If Stallworth was under the influence, he should be punished.

He fessed up (unlike Lynch's Hit and Run) and he wasn't trying to hurt people (like Phillips).
