Have you guys heard about the tom brady rule. Just Heard a new rule going to be place in next season. Everybody knows what happen to Tom Brady, now next season a def player cant lunge at QB if he is on the ground WTF is going on with these freaking owners and Roger goodell, they are killing football.

I thought they put this in place after Carson Palmer got his knee torn up against Pittsburgh? Or maybe I am mistaken?

They should really just ban scrambling and make QBs 2 hand touch.

And yes, I'm dead serious.

Killing it for purists maybe, but saving it for profit.

There are a ton of fans who would give up on a season if their star player(s) went down with injury...especially the franchise QBs. They are no longer football players, but a product. Much harder to sell that product if it's broken.

Not saying it's good for the game, but unfortunately, that's not the focus.

Might help if linemen didn't just grind defenders into the ground which is what happened in the Brady incident. Fact of the matter is if Carson Palmer or Tom Brady hadn't suffered knee injuries... if it was Kyle Orton and Josh McCown then there wouldn't be any discussion.

The league is and always has been bigger than any one player. As important as QB's are, people will still watch the next guy in line. It's football, its' the NFL. The ratings aren't gonna suffer. It's not like golf w/out Tiger or the NBA w/out Kobe, Lebron, etc.

Absolutely agree. All these extra rules protecting the quarterbacks and so on and just going to continue to help inflate offensive numbers around the league.

So if a defensive lineman is blocked onto the ground, he has to stand up first before he can try and tackle the QB? Lame.
