NFL expansion overseas? Super Bowl in Europe?

I wonder what time of day the game will be played if Super Bowl was in Europe.......

Would Goodell be okay with games starting at 3:00 EST, noon on the West Coast, assuming an 8:00 start time London Time?

Good point never even considered game start times and the time zone difference.

You know the NFL loves those prime time games, so this would be another reason I dont see the Super Bowl in Europe.

Not a fan of expansion, if it's in the US or elsewhere. I have zero problems with the Super Bowl being played outside the US.

Another reason Id like the Super Bowl to stay in the US is because these fans come out week in and week out to support their teams and most of these fans could not afford to fly to Europe to go support their team. At least if its in the US flights would be much cheaper.

Well seeing how the NFL is already the most popular sports league in Europe (along with NBA) I don't see why its a bad idea.

well for one, west coast teams complain as is about having to go East and play early games.

Teams have never been to happy about having to travel to London to play a game each year.

I don't see it getting much better if it happened on a regular basis.

Plus I can't imagine the team ever attracting good FA's, I know I wouldn't want to fly oversees 4 or 5 times a year.

and this is all aside from the fact that I have an extremely hard time believing the NFL is the 2nd most popular sports league in Europe. I am pretty sure they are pretty big into hockey and soccer. SOmeone can correct me if I am wrong.

i don't see either one of those ideas working out. And I hope they don't. This is America's game.

All you need to do is look at the NBA to realize how disastrous of a decision this would be. Granted the NBA isn't contemplating moving the NBA Finals out of the country, they have focused way too much energy, time and money on making the NBA international while the US foundation crumbles.
