Really? For a 33 yr old TE...? This is pretty much market value.

Sad to see, but I'm happy to see Tony get a chance elsewhere. He'll be missed.

I remember the day we drafted him like it was yesterday. I was watching the draft with my best friend at the time, and both of us really wanted him on the Chiefs. When they drafted him, we went nuts like the Chiefs had just won the SuperBowl. Running around, yelling, I even broke a lamp on accident.

Yea that's what Philly fans did when we drafted McNabb, although I don't think it was because of happiness.

Yeah and McNabb has been one of the best players that franchise has had over the last 15 years. The guy just gets no love from the Philly fans.

Re: Tony Gonzalez to Atlanta, Done Deal

The good thing about this is that it hopefully forces the Saints to draft a defensive player.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Seems like KC has been making alot of sensible/equitable moves and trades. Scott Piloli isn't making "waves", He's making the beach better.

I didn't realize how many talented tight ends the NFC South has now.

The only other team that wanted him i heard was the Eagles they only wanted to give a 3rd for him. This is best for both parties. While it may not help KC in 2009. IT will help down the road. I fully expect this 2nd rounder to be used on draft day in another trade.

The Chiefs are far from done wheeling and dealing. As a Chiefs fan i am ok with this for now. I have to see what we are going to do in return. I have a feeling the Chiefs will acquire Anquan Boldin using this picks somehow.
