After the 49ers got Crabtree I was sure they'd take Harrell with their last pick if he was still there. #35 in round 7,seems worth it so yes I'm suprised.

I don't understand how Stephen McGee got drafted. McGee ran an option orientated offense and didn't even start for Texas A&M last year.

A lot of teams liked him. He was a bigtime passer in high school, and the thought was that, because of a horrible team around him, a coaching change, and the idiotic decision to run the option, he looked worse than he was.

I don't like the pick, but I'm of the belief that you draft a quarterback every year somewhere to keep the stock flowing.

How many draft picks did the Packers turn Aaron Brooks and Matt Hasselbeck into? Plus, they had Rodgers when Farve went south on them.

To compound what Freelance posted, there was an article posted a while back stating that Texas A&M's current head coach Mike Sherman had put in good words to NFL scouts and talent evaluators for Stephen McGee complementing his intelligence and knowledge of pro-style offenses despite him playing in option offense during most of his career at A&M. I'll see if I can find it posted anywhere.
