That's the point I'm getting at. Not everyone has interest in meeting the President (regardless of who the President is) and it sure sounds like Harrison is in the group that is not interested - honestly, he could drive down if it was that important and he was scared of flying.

Then again, I'm the type that wouldn't be that interested to meet a celebrity or athlete or public figure etc... I'd rather spend the time with my family as that's what is most important to me.

Perfect statement. I would not have minded him not going considering he didn't go the last time they won, but it's the stupid *** statement he made that make you go, damn dude, put the weed down.

And that's fine. If Harrison would have said that, I don't think people would be making a big deal out of it. The way he said it made him sound like a completely egotistical dumb***. It should be an honor for him to meet the leader of the country, not for the leader of our country to meet James Harrison.

At any rate, he should do it out of respect for his country and his organization IMO but if he really felt that strongly, he should have just told the organzation and kept his mouth shut.

Yep, it's that foot in the mouth part that has him looking stupid.

Re: James Harrison is an idoit.

If it wasn't a bid deal in 2006 why is it a big deal now?

Because he didn't make an idiotic comment that's why. He doesn't say anything again this year and it's a non-issue. That's the whole point.
