James Harrison is an idoit.

Quote:
When the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the White House next week, they’ll do it without one of the men primarily responsible for their sixth Super Bowl title: Linebacker James Harrison.
“This is how I feel — if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don’t win the Super Bowl,” Harrison said. “As far as I’m concerned, [Obama] would’ve invited Arizona if they had won.”

WELL DUH! You all can put facepalm pictures here if you like.

Re: James Harrison is an idoit.

Can someone explain to me the reasoning behind his statements. I don't understand what he means. He said, if you want us to come invite us when we don't win a Super Bowl, I guarentee you if Arizona won they'd invite them. I don't understand the logic.

They invited the super bowl champions and would do the same for the Cardinals if they won, but what does that have anything to do with inviting a team when they don't win a superbowl. Is he saying he's insulted the Steeler's were never invited to the white house simply for being the Steeler's, and the only reason they are invited is because they won the Super Bowl?

Kent State turns out better men than he exhibits. Its a pretty good college. There was a way to say the same thing in a more intelligent manner. Of course we now understand his education level unfortunately. He does have a point, but it was expressed in such a harsh way it was taken out of context. To a certain degree that is.

Kent State University, one of the top Ohio colleges and universities. KSU, among top colleges and universities, offers educational opportunities ranging from certificate programs, associate, bachelor's, master's, educational specialist and doctoral degrees. Located in Northeast Ohio, Kent State is ranked by the Carnegie Foundation among the nation's top 77 public research universities, and among the 76 top colleges and top universities in community engagement.

I felt his College needed some publicity

Heres a better example of a good student athlete that is in the NFL

KENT, Ohio — While all 52 Kent State student-athletes who earned their degrees in ceremonies at the M.A.C. Center Saturday (May 16) have reason to celebrate, former football standout Usama Young may have traveled the most interesting road of the group.

The Largo, Md. native was a semester short of earning his degree when he was selected in the third round (66th pick overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. However, Young returned to the Kent campus this spring, finishing up the necessary classwork to earn his bachelor’s in educational studies with a concentration in physical education.

“It was very important for me to finish what I started,” Young said. “My goal from the very beginning was to graduate and I figured it’s better late than never. I grew up in a home where both parents were educators and I’ve always believed that without an education I wouldn’t be where I am on the football field.”

Young, who’s childhood story of selling snow cones at Washington Redskins home games was chosen as the NFL’s “Super Ad” for the 2009 Super Bowl, recently completed his second year with the Saints. He finished the 2008 season with 50 tackles and a pair of interceptions.

“I’m extremely proud of Usama for coming back and finishing his degree,” KSU head football coach Doug Martin said. “This was something that was very important to his parents when we signed him out of high school. He is a great example of a young man who is willing to put the time and effort into being successful on an off the field.”

A four-year starter at Kent State (2003-06), Young finished his career with 198 tackles (129 solo), three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, nine interceptions, 21 pass break-ups and a blocked kick. Named to the All-MAC second team as a senior, he earned honorable mention Freshman All-America honors from College Football News.
