There has been talk of doing this actually. I think they're waiting to see how merch sales go this year with the retros.

SPTO, I really hope so. With all the backlash against both major Buffalo teams' uniforms recently it's good both the Bills and Sabres are considering switching full-time to the modernized retros...Larry Quinn (Sabres part-owner) actually publicly stated that the Sabres were considering dropping the controversial-but-popular "slug" uniforms and logo for their upcoming 40th Anniversary and creating a new away uniform that matches their awesome modernized retro third jersey...I had no idea the Bills were considering the same thing for their uniforms, though. VERY interesting.

Like I said to open the thread, I really hope a full-time change is in the works. It'll bring the Bills, at least in terms of uniform design, into the NFL elite...now, for a winning record and a playoff spot...

Well I dunno if it's Bills brass themselves thinking about bringing back the retros full time but moreso some media and fans. If you've noticed the retro blue uniform set is VERY popular and since they've introduced it, it's been worn at least once every year.

I really do think a switch may be in the offing.

Great to hear about the Sabres though!

I just wonder if the Bills are going with the Chargers' mentality of keeping these jerseys special by limiting their use. Charger fans, for years, clamored for the old powder blue's to be their primary home uniform. They got an alternate powder blue instead, with the navy blue jerseys still being the primary home jersey.
