Re: Toughest Divison in Football

I'm the guy who voted the NFC west... 49ers! lolz. I wasn't supposed to takethis seriously, right? NFC east if I was.

NFC
West: Crap
East: Very strong
North: Tight race with bad teams
South: See North

AFC
West: Chargers are the only good team, and they under perform.
East: Patriots are the team to beat. Bills choke, Phins are to wishy washy and jets are bad.
North: Solid, but Pitt and Ravens are the only good teams. Not really a smash mouth like NFC East
South: Less terrible. The Colts don't get 6 free wins a year now like the 49ers got in the 80's and 90's. they actually have to play the Titans. It'll take more than one year ot prove the Texans are worth a darn to me.

Predictions:

NFC
West:
49ers, seriously. I don't think the Cards have what it takes to repeat or improve on last year's regular season. I thinkthe 49ers do with a full year under Mike Singletary.
East: Giants. No plex is good for Eli like no Shocky was good for him last year. this team, IMO really starts to be a true "team" and will be the largest threat in the NFC going into January. Cowboys still have romo. Skins are a joke with out a QB. I just hate the Eagles and dislike McNabb.
North: Vikings. Not because of Favre, but becasue of that D and AP. Favre will be the sport that might hurt them in the end with his bad choices and aging arm. better than Jackson, but that isn't saying much. Favre is one of the best ever, not one of the best active.
South: Coin toss. I like Matty Ice, and I have friends woh are Falcons fans [don't know why, they are terrible.] Carolia could win, but no one who won the South has won it twice in a row and I don't see that happening this year either. Bucs are bad and Saints were a one year wonder.

AFC
West:
Chargers again. Broncos stink, Raiders are emarassing, Chiefs are still rebuilding but have the brightest future in the comming 3+ years they way they draft. If Matt Cassel porves to be good [which I doubt, even as a patriots fan] then they may be the next team of the West soon [just not this year].
East: Brady is back. Bills choke another season away. Phins are old news and embarassed themselves against a good D in the playoffs. If NE were in last year they may not have gone to the big show, but they wouldn't have been killed by Baltimore. I scoff at the Jets.
North: Ravens. Call it a hunch, not logic. Bengals stink on ice, Browns were another one year wonder as we saw last season. Pitt is very very good, but I just don't think they are going to have a season like last year. Pitt is an on again off again team. One year they ara threat the next a joke, than the next a contender. My guess is a joke tihs year. not based on logic, just a hunch.
South: Colts return to the top. The Teen Titans are nice, but not 9-0 good IMO. Texans are solid but that's it. Jags have been gettign worse the last two years, not better. they were a threat in 07, but Brady made quick work of that in the playoffs.

Oh yeah, and with Larry and Troy on the cover, that's another good reason why Pitt and Arizona are going to fall IMO, again not based on logic.

Toughest to win? NFC East.

Toughest for other divisions to play? Between NFC East and AFC South. Probably the East again by a short margin.

Really, not even nearly? Give me a break.

NFC South in 08/09:
CAR: 12-4
ATL 11-5
NO: 9-7
TB:8-8

40W-24L

NFC East in 08/09

NYG: 12-4
PHI: 9-6-1
DAL: 9-7
WAS: 8-8

38W-25L-1T

You said year to year...

02 - TB Superbowl Champions
02 - ATL gets WC, loses DPR
03 - CAR makes it to SB
04 - ATL makes it to NFCCG
05 - TB takes it back, but loses in WCR
05 - CAR gets WC (11-5), makes it to NFCCG
06 - NO makes it to NFCCG
07 - TB back again, but early exit in WCR
08 - CAR makes it to DPR
08 - ATL gets WC, loses WCR

Looks pretty competitive to me.

Um hate to break it to you but the NFL East teams only won 17 total Championships.

NY- 7
DAL- 5
WAS- 5
PHI- 3

The NFC North has 25
GB- 12
CHI- 9
DET- 4
MIN- 0

Do a little research before you start running your mouth.
