Who from your favorite team can you honestly claim as the best ever at his position?

Ya...I would have to say the best WR of all time was only a Raider briefly. There really is no debate at that position.

To answer the threads title question: Jerry Rice (no contest), a case could be made for both Joe Montana and Steve Young, Ronnie Lott is definitely in the discussion for best FS ever, Deion wasnt a Niner long but he was here for a little while and he was the best cover corner I've ever seen. And last, but not least, lets not forget the coach, Bill Walsh

Let's not forget Ray Nitschke, the only LB on the 50th and 75th anniversary teams. Butkus was good, but pound for pound, I'd put them side by side, plus, Nitschke played twice as many yrs as Butkus.

For the Bears you could make an argument for
Payton
Butkus
Sayers (hard to disagree since he made the HOF while only playing 6 seasons)
Singletary
Bronko Nagurski- Definitely one of the most dominate players in the NFL.
Hester- I think this could be a tie with Sayers only because Hester has more TDs but Sayers has a the best TD% in NFL history.

Also for Coach George Halas- If he didn't leave 3 times during his coaching career he would have had a heck of a lot more wins and Championships. He would have coached 11 more seasons and who knows how many championships and how many more wins he would have had.

But this is all debatable and I think the only position not debatable is Wide Receiver. Jerry Rice is hands down the greatest at his position.
