Really? I know that I'm a skins fan, but he came back for 4 years and made the play-offs twice, had more play-off wins in those 4 years than the Cowboys have had in 12. Still is the only coach to win three super bowls with 3 different guys at the sports "most important position". Like I said I'm a skins fan, but I find it hard to believe that making the play-offs in two of four years hurts your legacy. In the toughest division in the NFC.

I think not winning the sprint cup last year with Kyle Busch hurt his legacy.

Brett Favre didn't win a Super Bowl? Did I just hallucinate the Green Bay-New England Super Bowl then?

I think if he wouldn't have come back he'd be thought of more so as one of the elite NFL coaches. That's partly the reason he wasn't mentioned in the previous 6 pages.

I love Gibbs, especially his character, but he didn't have teams that completely dominanted (granted, Dan Snyder is running the team so that's not necessarily Gibbs' fault...).

Regarding Gibbs: I also think some of his mental lapses (the two timeouts on a FG attempt is one example) that he displayed at times in his 2nd tenure has hurt him a bit.
