Electrifying.

I just don't believe the Vick you're describing still exists. The guy was nothing special in '06, how can two years of inactivity possibly make him better?

Your second point is also somewhat misleading. Few NFL teams have trouble putting butts in seats as it is. For the few that do, any positive effect on ticket sales would have to be weighed against the negative effect from animal rights groups upon team sponsors.

Mediocre qb + lightning rod for controversy = more trouble than he's worth.
You neglected his 1,039 yards rushing and 8.4 yards per carry (123 carries). Highest total yards rushing he's had, most carries, and 2nd highest yards per carry he's had. I still think he's quite electrifying.

You are right about the 2 years not helping, though.

But about your statement as mediocre QB + lightning rod for controversy: that's why I think the Vikes are such a good fit. They already have mediocre QB's and are going after another in Favre, who is a lightning rod for controversy as well. I just think that Vick fits just as well there as Favre, maybe moreso (with the scrambling factor with AP in the backfield).

He deserved to be thrown under the bus. But like you said,he's paid his debt to society and should be allowed to try to earn a living in the NFL. The biggest hurdle will be the gambling charges not the animal abuse.

Vick owes it to himself and if he wants to get paid and keep a low profile This is not the way to do it is all I'm sayin.I like him as a qb and could care less about his legal issues. Its the same issue with Tony Romo...He doesnt owe Cowboy fans anything but let him get seen in Cabo and all hell breaks loose. As far as Goddell, I dont think it is smart when you have Already Lied to your boss the first time,it doesnt look good on the resume'
