He was THE PRIMARY REASON his team LOST over and over again in the playoffs.
Couldn't be further from the truth and the ONLY case you have is the St. Louis massacre back in 2002.

Favre is #1 all-time in interceptions, and is 24th of 35 in terms of INT% among active players. I think it's fair to say it was one of his big weaknesses.

In terms of playoffs:
1993, 2 INTs vs Dallas, lost by 10
1995, 2 INTs vs Dallas, lost by 11
1998, 2 INTs vs 49ers, lost by 3
2001, 6 INTs vs Rams, lost by a berjillion
2002, 2 INTs vs Falcons, lost by 20
2003, 1 INTs vs Eagles, lost in OT
2004, 4 INTs vs Vikings, lost by 14
2007, 2 INTs vs Giants, lost by 3
2008, let league in INTs, missed playoffs

This is terribly disappointing for me. Super Bowl chances...Dead...We are a QB away from being elite. Now we'll go 10-6 and maybe win 1 playoff game. This was our one big chance.

Re: Farve to Stay retired.

I think jackson is the best fit for the vikings anyways. i mean in 5 year he "could" bethe next brett farve. he has great legs, great running, good leader if he was more accuarate he could lead this team far. and plus if farve came back he would of got mad so now he will be happy and play better.

Don't despair! Jackson really did show some improvement last year, and we all know it's defenses that win rings. Just gotta be a bit luckier in the playoffs is all. :-)

On the other hand, the Vikings are about the unluckiest playoff team in history, other than perhaps the Bills...

Re: Farve to Stay retired.

Hmm... This all only matters if he stays retired.

My views (being a Favre HOMER):

To me, arguably (key word here), the greatest QB of all-time. Not the best pure passer, but I would rather have nobody as a QB of my team. Yes, at times he made you pull out your hair... but other times he left you in awe saying "How in the @(#$ did that pass get through there?"

Just the way he played the game. He was having FUN out there. Maybe it's my bias, but he also gave me my greatest sports memory (the game against Oakland. Movies don't even work out like that.)

Shame he had to go out in such the negative light he did - but here's to an undeniable all-time great.

Re: Farve to Stay retired.

I think Farve was wrong, and he knew this 10 days agom, well he should have told the Vikes 10 days ago.

The only thing that I think makes sense right now is the Vikes signing M.Vick
