Maybe my counting skills have gotten worse as I've gotten older....but where in the hell did you get 50,000 yds from?

LOL. He is including CFL stats as well.

The "HoFer" has 14,000 yards in the NFL, certainly no HoFer.

Projected over the same number of throws (Flutie has 400 more attempts), Flutie's numbers are remarkably similar to Michael Vick's (aside from rushing obviously) and they have the same record as a starter.

Re: The HoFer "Doug Flutie"

Doug Flutie? NFL Hall of Fame? From the wise mind of Whitney Houston: "Crack is Wack". No way on God's green earth should Flutie be mentioned in NFL Hall of Fame talks. Maybe he should be in the CFL Hall of Fame (then again I don't know what style of football they play on that 110yd field, so maybe 36,000 yds isn't that impressive) or the NCAA Hall of Fame, too young to see him play in college but the only great thing you honestly hear about Flutie is the hailmary pass he threw up against Miami. If you only get remembered for a "lucky catch" and possibly really poor D, then hey your a first ballot HoFer. Could you post a link of something great he has done in football, I don't want to be blind in the argument, all I know is for the majority of his career in the league he has been a backup, lol

Actually he threw for 40k+ yards in Canada and I think that ranks him about 6th or 7th all-time here. I'd have to double check but the numbers have been seen a lot during CFL broadcasts lately because Anthony Calvillo is climbing up the all-time lists. (He's now 2nd to Damon Allen)
