Re: The College and Canadian "only"HoFer "Doug Flutie"

I really don't see what difference the name makes, it seems like the only people who care about that are CFL fans who are mad that minor league stats don't matter.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

The thing is the CFL was a different animal back when Flutie played in it than it is now, it is just that NFL fans are too stubborn to realize that. Remember when he was there the Toronto Argonaughts signed Rocket Ismail away from the NFL prior to the Draft where he was the clear number one pick. As people here have been saying, the CFL was of a higher quality then because a lot of players slipped through the cracks and ended up there. That is not to say in any way that it was a superior league but it wasn't as inferior as it is today by any means.

I have a lot of memories of Flutie especially when he was with the Argos.

I dunno why people hate on him, what I find is you either Hate him or Love him...

I guess the ones that hate him are the ones he use to scramble all over on their team and that pissed them off lol

I don't see anyone "hating" on him people just know that he's not a hall of famer.

How many players in the last 30 years who had the vast majority of their accomplishments in non-NFL leagues are in the Hall?

I'm guessing 0.

edit: jmood's on it
Sorry, I wasn't arguing Flutie should make the hall -- he shouldn't, I agree. And the only way to get into the Hall should be NFL play. Just saying that while other leagues are not at the level of the NFL overall, it doesn't preclude them from having some NFL hall of fame caliber talent floating around. That differs from AA baseball, where somebody is specifically saying "you're not good enough to make our major-league roster."
