I love Tony Dungy, but he's defends players too much for their off-field issues. I also don't think he's a good guy for the studio because he's one of those that will never give an honest opinion of someone if it's negative.

And that is why I love Collinsworth, the man quite simply knows football and disects the game while ripping/praising anybody who deserves it. I'm also a big fan of Matt Millen, Daryl Johnston, Deion Sanders (when he's not playing it up to the camera), and Ron Jaworski when it comes to color commentary & analysis.

Maybe he's just someone where if someone gets in trouble, he'd rather hear ALL the facts whereas on here, a player would be guilty the minute we find out what he did.

The NFL has become one big self support group. These guys do all sorts of illegal and immoral things collectively, then they just write off as a "mistake" or being "human".

A mistake is forgetting to tie your shoes or telling a little white lie. It is not a "mistake" to run an illegal gambling ring for years and years while killing and torturing dogs in the process. That is not a "mistake". That is a calculated and repeated felony that only stopped because he got caught.

Instead we honor the Steve McNairs and Sean Taylors like they were killed defending a group of orphans in a war zone.

The NFL (and other leagues) serve as enablers for these guys. They enjoy getting to live a lower standard than we have to live up to, and they are made excuses for all the while.
