I think his point is that people drive exhausted all the time, or after being up all night but you don't see the Police cracking down on people driving under the influence of sleep deprivation. But I don't know what is has to do with the thread so whatever.

I think the most surprising thing was hearing the family's attorney saying that the punishment wasn't lenient at all and that people are focusing on the wrong areas

I think it's only surprising if you're trying to force anger in areas that there's no need for it. The family wanted to mourn their father/husband/brother/etc. and were satisfied that Stallworth was remorseful and with what he offered to help them. The man who died is where the focus should be, not on some kind of revenge. This isn't the kid who killed the baseball player while running a light, drunk off his a**, driving on a suspended license bc of previous DUI's. Not every situation can be judged the same.
