Post Jets Interested in Trading for WR Brandon Marshall

According to ESPN, the Jets have expressed interest in Broncos WR Brandon Marshall in a trade. I'd welcome this trade because its give my boy Mark Sanchez a pro bowl weapon at WR.

Yes of course they are, as are any other teams interested in a WR.

This is nothing new.

When I saw this reported on the news today I said, yea, no ****. Any team who wants a WR would want Marshall.

And by the way, there is nothing about this story as far as Broncos interests so you may as well start about 12 other threads from the 12 other teams who would be interested in Marshall.

The Broncos have no incentive to trade him. They can franchise him through next year.

Yes.

What does that have to do with their incentive to trade him though? They can control him for two more years.

Having no incentive is the best time to trade him. If they are willing to absorb his attitude anyway, then other teams know they'll have to ante up if they are going to get him. Its when the player becomes so estranged that you can get only a 4th rounder for a Randy Moss.

Yea, I can agree with that.

I think "incentive" was a bad word.

They have no real reason to trade him.

They can control him for two more years. Would he decide to sit out, he would just be costing himself (especially with his off-field issues).

So that said, they can use him for two more years, maybe get him to agree to a contract between then and keep him.

There is no doubt that is he is one of the more dominant receivers on-field.

That said, they have been breaking him down pretty bad and I dont really agree with it.

Today, he practiced mainly with THE PRACTICE SQUAD, and sparingly with the 2nd team.

For the Broncos sake, I REALLY hope it works out, but unfortunately, wouldn't surprise me to see him gone.

But it certainly isn't surprising that the Jets or any of the other 31 teams would be interested him.

Re: Jets Interested in Trading for WR Brandon Marshall

I really think Denver is making a mistake w/Marshall. The team looks like they are headed for a top 5 pick. Marshall has his stats w/Cutler that makes him look valuable to other teams. If the guy has to go thru a year w/Orton's passes to him ending up in the opponent's fingers, his value will plummet.

Broncs are't going to get anything out of him in '09 & possibly beyond. Marshall won't be getting a big contract. Why not do something that would be mutually beneficial?

Im all for the Broncos trading him. Just dont see him playing all 16 games this year. He hates Denver anyways and the Broncos might as well get something for him while they can before he gets in trouble again.
