He was certainly made an example of by the higher-ups in New York. He shouldn't have been carrying the gun around anyways. He plead guilty and got what he deserved, I guess. He is paying the price for his stupidity.

The people who cry for the 2nd Ammendment are ridiculous IMO. The thing was written in the friggin 1790's, I'd say just a few things have changed in this country since then.

If NYC had loose gun laws I would probably stop hoping on the train and heading down there so frequently. The place is a zoo as it is, I don't need to be going to bars knowing half the dudes in there are packing.

He could have easily killed someone bringing in a loaded gun w/o a saftey!!!

you guys are comparing drunk drivers??? how about a drunk guy w/ a loaded gun in club (where fights often break out)

Yeah if NYC didn't clamp down on their gun laws it'd still be like the stone ages (1970s) People seem to forget it was Giuliani's administration that cleaned the city up from being a cesspool of crime and depravity.

Anyways that's skirting towards the politics no-no but thought i'd say I agree with your sentiment and added my .02 cents.

These laws might not be perfect for every city in the country but it works for NYC IMO.
