I hate the blackout rule...i'm not a big NFL fan, but this is rule is just dumb.

I'm surprised the Chargers have this problem.

I remember the Patriots being blacked out a lot in the late 80's/ early 90's. Blackout rule doesn't bother me because the league is trying to protect it's product.

Chargers are just tryin to sell tickets, should be alright for home games this year, of course performing well on the field always helps since the cost of living here is too expensive and there are many, many other (cheaper) things to do. Not only that but 75% of the population are from another part of the country. Feel free to leave and go back home Chicago, Colorado, NY..... fans?

Agree with you there, Packers I believe by far have the strongest consistent fan support

Wonder if that has to do with the fans owning the team? They do have a vested interest in there success no?

It has to do with them having a great tradition built with Vince Lombardi and the ownership (which is the fans) not fighting with the fan base over since then. But you see the same thing in Pittsburgh. On the other hand, you have situations like Baltimore in the '80s and Cleveland in the '90s where there was a big fight between the city/fans and the ownership, and that resulted in some teams with really strong fan bases moving.
