Jets vs Texans

Not really sure what to make of this one. I think both teams are pretty evenly matched and we should get a close game out of it. Some great individual matchups to watch also. Andre Johnson going up against Darrelle Revis and also a matchup between 2 of the top picks from the 2006 draft with Mario Williams going against D'Brickashaw.

Can't wait for tomorrow! I'm cautiously optimistic for the start of the Mark Sanchez era.

Good luck to Matrix and the other Texans fans.

Re: Jets vs Texans

Cheers, Sandman.

It should be a good one. I expect it to be close and somewhat low scoring. Something in the 20-16 range. Typical Jets-style game I think.

We'll see how it goes. I'm interested to see how the secondary plays. They are God-awful but playing against a rookie might help build their confidence. Then again, Sanchez can easily tear this secondary apart.

I'm also interested in seeing what happens opposite Mario Williams. A pass-rusher on the other side will do wonders for Mario. I hope Chris Brown can come in and spell Slaton to keep him fresh, and I do hope we can exploit any holes in the Jets D that are still being worked on with our receiving depth.

Thank God football is back.

I hope Slaton adding a few pounds has not actually made him worse.

The secondary is bad, but hopefully the front 7 can make things easier for them. I know we finally get to see Cushing play, and i'm excited about Barwin. Texans still have holes on the defense though that they will be sorry they didn't address, in the secondary and a big run stopping Tackle

I have a lot of confidence in this offense though.

This is actually a very interesting game, in my opinion. You have numerous storylines and reasons to watch. Like Ryan and the Jets first game as the new Jets. Sanchez's first start. AJ vs. Revis. Watching Mario Williams play in any game is always a treat. Should be a fun game.

Game is being shown on CBS here in Rhode Island. Interested to see how Sanchez does in his first game.
