Things we were wrong about.

Here is a short list of things I was wrong about. Feel free to add your own.

Eli Manning: I was sure he'd be a bust. Has really become a good NFL QB. Did not show this kind of clutch passing at Ole Miss.

Plaxico: I was sure he'd be a bust for my Steelers on the field. Turns out he's a Giants bust off it.

Drew Brees: Is a superstar QB. Never saw that coming. I really thought he was a career backup, out of the league in 3 years.

Brett Favre:
I drank the Kool-aid on this one, never thought he'd really leave Green Bay.

Overtime: I thought they would change this rule ten years ago when replay came back. With the anti-defense bias of the NFL rules it is really unfair to the team that loses the coin toss. For the record I think they should play 5 minute quarters until one team wins. This way both teams get the ball and clock management becomes a factor.

Adrian Peterson:
I thought he's be injury prone. So far, he's the second coming of Jim Brown. I never thought anyone could play that recklessly and be that dominant in the modern NFL. I'll be even more surprised if he lasts more than 5 years at this pace.

Kurt Warner:
I thought he was done when Lienart was drafted. Hell of a second act.

Lienart/Young: I thought these two would take their college rivalry to the pros. A great story that never happened.

T.O. in Philly: I thought this was the move that turned the Eagles into a dynasty. I had no idea just how insecure a man Owens was. If he stays with McNabb amazing things happen. One does wonder what would have happened if he hadn't gotten injured that first year.

...more to come.

I thought Chris Johnson would just be another version of another Titans running back... Chris Henry. Both were drafted high primarily because of their speed, and I thought CJ would be just like CH.

I thought the Michael Turner signing would be a massive disappointment for the Falcons.

Now I'd trade LT for him straight up.

Ah, I thought that too. I thought he looked too sluggish and slow in San Diego.

I thought Mark Sanchez would b horrible. I gave too much respect to Pete Carrol's football genious. He said Mark wuznt ready, but little did i know he NEEDED Mark for this year. Because those qb's are talented as hell at USC, but they are not ready.

Re: Things we were wrong about.

I thought the 49ers would be the worst team in the league this year.

I thought the same. I also thought Matt Ryan was going to be a massive flop. And I thought Corey Simon (Fat blob DT) would put the Colts D over the top when they signed him a few years ago. Needless to say, that didn't go all that well.

I don't know if I thought Michael Turner would be a failure or anything, but I definitely did not thinK he would turn into an elite RB.
