Post Marion Barber Looks Ready to Play Against the Panthers on MNF

According to NFL.com and ESPN.com, Dallas Cowboys star running back Marion Barber says that he's ready to play this Monday vs the Panthers. He practiced today in full pads and looked like the injured quad wasn't bothering him.

I have him on my fantasy team, but I picked up Choice just in case.

Nothing personal against Panther fans but 49er fans are hoping Carolina keeps losing, since the 49ers have the Panthers' first-round pick.

Then the 49ers can use that pick and not sign a draftee again.

Barber should sit, no sense in possibly injuring a good player when you have 2 capable players behind him, one of whom (Choice) showed he can do it on his own.

I'm not sure exactly what the Cowboys are doing with the gameplanning using the RBs. If you look at Barber's statistical breakdown he is nearly unstoppable in the 4th quarter, especially when he is used as the closer as opposed to the starter. IMO, the Cowboys should go with the gameplan Parcells & co used when they used Julius Jones to start the game and Barber on power plays & in the 2nd half. Now the Cowboys have the luxury of using Choice in Julius' place with Felix sprinkled in here and there, and can throw Barber in there at the end.

I hope he sits. No reason to risk him hurting it even worse. It was a freak accident and not from getting hit so you know there is a problem there.
