Forgot people aren't allowed to voice their opinions on a message board. Adam gave his, I gave mine. Apparently mine doesn't matter.

Give me a break.

Ngata said it best: "I did hit him in the head, so there is nothing I can really do about it." Bingo. Ngata and Wright both hit Brady/Flacco, respectively, in the facemask, both got called, both got fined. Nothing they can do.
*sarcasm* You're completely wrong because you don't share his opinion. Don't you get it? *sarcasm*

Why do the QB's even put on pads? They need to just start putting on flags, but dont pull those flags too hard or you might be fined!

I thought the roughing the passer penalties were too touchy while I was watching the game on Sunday, but whatever. The fines don't really make sense to me.

Both the Ngata and Wright blows to the head were pretty much the same, they both got 15 yd penalties and both got fined. There was no pulling of Flacco's facemask.

I think the fines are ridiculous.

It is still being called in a very subjective manner however. I realize that QB's are the "faces of the league" and that the league wants to protect them, but the rule needs to be applied fairly.

Oakland TE Zach Miller got hit in the head / facemask not once, but twice last sunday w/ no flag thrown. He also sustained a concussion.

Somehow that doesn't seem fair. I'm all for letting the players play and do so physically, but it's getting out of hand that when someone touches a QB they draw a flag and fine, but another position player can get practically KOed and its okay.
