Here's the story from Hanson's (the guy who got punched) perspective.

All I can say is wow to that article. As Cable said, the truth will come out... not quite as clear cut as he made it seem though, huh? This is just going to get more and more interesting.

All jokes aside, if things are going on like that article makes it seem, the Raiders are most definitely the worst run team in the NFL, hands down.

Neither was/is being viewed as attempted murder.
I agree. That's not the way fans & press reacted though. It was "If I threatened to kill someone, I'd get fired!" So why the blase attitude now? 2 similar incidents in Oakland, but a vastly different reaction.

So because the attacker was a superior, it was OK? Or not as bad?

Please.....

I know some are thinking it and I'm gonna go ahead and say it. It's because Sprewell had a "thug" image(to the media) and Cable does not. Cable has a crazed out biker image lol, but not a thug image. I think there are a few other reasons as well, but I don't want to be too controversial as it would ultimately lead us off the topic of sports and into other various topics, so I'll keep those other reasons to myself.
