It's only illegal if Harvin goes out of his route to initiate contact. He didn't. Washington took a step forward at the wrong time, went right into Harvin, and Harvin knocked him on his ***. Harvin has no responsibility to be gentle when a DB moves into him.

It is illegal. Any ways that was a great throw there and almost a big TD!

Listen. I know you are a fan, and I'm a Raven's fan. I am killing the Raven's on their play right now, and attempting to remain unbiased.

You are right that if a route runs you into a CB, it's a legal pick. The second you purposely hit the CB (as Harvin did by extending his arms) it's an interference call. It's illegal. Doesn't matter, as Carr misplayed the entire play, but it's still an illegal play.

I'd honestly be interested in the section of the rule book that says a receiver must keep his hands to his side and let a DB into his body when the DB moves into him. I'd be surprised if that was an actual condition for pass interference.

The only bright spot so far has been Oher. He has looked good early against Allen.
