IIRC, the bottom line on ESPN said that he had called for a fair catch.

I still think it's funny that people keep referring to Clifton Smith as "the Buc" or "the Buc who got hit" and don't even know his name. Just to remind you all, Clifton Smith was the NFL's first team All-Pro return man last year. Not Josh Cribbs, not Devin Hester... Clifton Smith.

Don't know either player and normally don't care personally about hits.

When I saw this hit I wanted to kick Wesley in the face for 15 minutes.

I can't believe there's even an argument about whether he did it on purpose. I wouldn't have objected to a rest of the season suspension. Grown men, contact sport, whatever... you just don't do something like that.

And Polamalu did exactly the same thing (don't care who lead with what or what physics were involved)!

Sorry... don't really care enough about this or the Bucs to know his name. Maybe if he cried for more money so was being moved to WR like Hester or was more than just a returner playing offense and a star on both sides of the special teams like Cribbs I'd know him. Can't speak for everybody else but I think I was the only one who said "the Buc who got hit".

What Wesley did is totally uncalled for and it was blatantly done on purpose. What an idiot.
