It's not there's a ton of bad teams, it's that there's like 4 REALLY bad teams, when there's usually just one or two. But that's what happens when your owners are stupid in who they hire/draft.

Look to the coaching positions. Most of the really awful teams are the ones with a revolving door of coaches, or really really awful coaches like Mangini.

i was watching espn in the morning they said that if the raiders decide to cut russell this off-season it would only charge them 3 million dollars if they decide to keep him it will cost them 15 million dollars if i am russell i better start practicing very hard to keep my money.

Something interesting that was brought up was that 4 of the 6 really horrible teams in the league (Rams, Raiders, Bucs, and Cheifs) used to be really, really good in the early 2000's with tons of veterans.

Once Manning leaves the Colts, McNabb/Reid leave Philly, and Brady, Bellichick, and co. depart NE, they could possibly cellar dwellars as well.
