Re: 2009: the year they went to far

This topic should've read "2009: the year of the golden boy"...yes Tom Brady,I'm looking at you.
I'm fed up beyond belief with how this league treats it's "golden boys"...as been mentioned earlier, had the knee injury been to a "lesser valued" qb,I'm almost positive it wouldn't be treated as seriously.

Having watched football through the 70's,80's,90's through the present, this league has become a joke. Hell,Jack Lambert WAS right...."qb's should wear dresses" ....and this was a quote from some 25+ years ago.

What REALLY got me though, was the Pats Ravens game...in which Brady got hit,and immediately turned to the official and "nod" his head like "you're going to call the penalty right?"....and sure enough, the official nodded back and gave him the penalty....absolutely disgusting.

Re: 2009: the year they went to far

Alot of this thread reminds me of the pack of old guys, at the barber shop I went to as a kid, grumbling when they added the QB slide rule.

Give them some time to work out the kinks and any rule protecting humans from crippling injuries is a decent rule.
