Re: Cowboys @ Giants: the loser's season is all but over

Well, other than the nitpick that it would be impossible for the Giants to go 12-4 (they are 6-5 right now) I mostly agree on the importance. I don't buy into the whole "this one's for the season" drama, but it's a very important game for both teams to be sure.

I actually have a bad feeling about this one as the Cowboys have been inconsistent in their recent play and the Giants are somewhat a wounded animal right now. We'll see...I'm sure it will be quite a game.

This is a tough stretch for the Cowboys. I can realistically see them going anywhere from 4-1 (the one being to the Saints) to 0-5. They probably need to get 2 out of 5 to get in.

What Cowboy team will show up and what Giants team will show up? If the Giants that played Washington show up and the Cowboys that played the Redskins show up, then New York wins easily.

Then again there is a reason they play the game and the Giants have looked different every game.

Have to agree with you on both accounts but there is reason for both..The D-coordinator has been horrible with his schemes..he keeps putting the Giants in man to man situations when we simply dont have the personnel to do that..He has this idea that dropping d-ends into coverage will stop the short routes but its backfiring..on top of that the D-line is flat getting manhandled up front on running downs which forces the safeties to come up..hence man to man coverage..as far as the ofensive line its twofold..teams are stacking up in the box to stop the run because we dont really have any deep threats..although Nicks is getting there...teams are blitzing at will and we cant make them pay for it..with that said the Giants know this is it..lose and its over..We are due for a big game against a quality team..lets hope this is the week...lol

Re: Cowboys @ Giants: the loser's season is all but over

Honestly this is what the Cowboys go through week in and week out. Every game is a must win for us it seems, or some sort of proving ground game. It ain't the first, and it ain't the last, so I don't feel nervous about our season regardless of the outcome because it's still a week by week NFL.

The Giants for sure need this game more than the Cowboys. No other way of looking at it. If we win, people are going to be saying the same things they said this week, and the last 5 weeks when we play the Chargers. If we lose, we still are going to have the "pressure" to win in December vs. San Diego.

Go Cowboys!

I'd love it if you guys could bury the Giants a little further in the Wild Card race. With the Packers sitting in the 6th seed, the Giants scare me.

If the Cowboys lose then i'll bet even money that Jeff Fisher is on their sidelines next season.

You really think that? Interesting, I don't think he'll ever leave Tennessee until he gets fired, but then again it is the Cowboys job.

I think if the Cowboys win this, they'll be stoked, maybe even beat the Saints and roll into the playoffs. A loss, means talk about them choking, and stuff like that.

The calendar does say December, so until the Cowboys can prove they can win in December I am going with the G-Men.

I only say that because there's an opt out clause in Fisher's contract according to some sources and seeing how he butted heads with Bud Adams over Vince Young he might exercise it.

Anyways the Cowboys just haven't really proved to be all that great in December AND the game is in NY so logic dictates the Giants should win.
