Quinn done for the season

I know exactly which play it happened on. He wasn't playing great, but at least he was getting PT. With Anderson QBing the last two games, I have no desire to watch. I've seen enough dump off passes way over RB's heads and interceptions into triple coverage over the last 2 years.

BEREA, Ohio -- Browns quarterback Brady Quinn will miss Cleveland's final two games with a foot injury.

Coach Eric Mangini said Quinn sustained an injury to his right foot on a bootleg run during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 41-34 win at Kansas City.

The Browns have placed Quinn on injured reserve, ending an uneven third season for the former Notre Dame star.

Mangini did not specify Quinn's injury but said his recovery could "take a little while." He did not indicate if surgery was possible.

Quinn began the season as Cleveland's starter but was benched after 10 quarters. He was reinserted as starter on Nov. 16 against Baltimore. Quinn went 2-7 in nine starts.

Derek Anderson will start this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

Terrible. Quinn just never had a chance with that team.

Re: Quinn done for the season

It's more than likely a bogus injury. I think the Browns are just trying to get out of having to pay Quinn his 12 million dollar bonus for playing in 70% of the team's snaps this season. I really don't blame the team though if that's the case because Quinn sure as hell didn't earn that bonus money anyway.

He didn't qualify for the bonus when he was reinstated into the starting lineup. Injury is legit cause Brad did come up limping after bootleg run. Plus, it would be in the Browns best interest to have him play to get more experience and more evaluation of him.

He wasn't a very good college player, I still have no idea why he was drafted so high.

I would imagine that if the Browns did this to avoid paying him the bonus cash, Quinn would have a legit grievance to file with the league.

Since Holmgren is in town, i thinks he's trying to make sure no further damage is done and trying to save him for next season so they could build around him. could be wrong though

Can't build around bad accuracy.

Well, you can, but you build in spite of your QB...
