Rams (assuming they are picking first) will take either Clausen or Bradford. Look at last year, the Lions selected Stafford over Curry and Jason Smith. Two years ago, the Falcons selected Matt Ryan over Glenn Dorsey - a prospect that may have been the best One Gap DT since Warren Sapp. A QB is going to the Rams. Which one? I think Clausen is the best QB in the class, but crappy teams (no offense) like big names.

That's severely overrating Dorsey. Sapp had mores sacks starting in 8 games than Dorsey's had starting in 29. There were questions about Dorsey coming out, and thus far I don't really see how you could say that Matt Ryan wasn't the better pick. Also, I don't really know where the Jason Smith hype came from, but Stafford with his arm strength and participation in a prolific offense in college was a better prospect at his position than Jason Smith (I don't know where the Smith hype came from, I definitely thought Eugene and Michael were both better players) and he plays a more valuable position than Curry (who will be a stud).

This draft is a little bit different. While Clausen is pretty good, he's never been as prolific as Stafford. In addition, the only clutch play I've seen him make is a touchdown pass against Purdue, which, of course, was against Purdue. As for Bradford, I don't see the difference between him and Leinart. He hasn't played consistently for a year, had arm strength questions previously (and yes, it DOES matter, ask Leinart and look at the difference between Henne and Pennington), and any team would be taking a big risk by picking him in the top ten. If a QB is taken #1 it will be Clausen, but I don't know if that will happen.

Tim Tebow with our first pick at QB? Hell no! Then again, when you're at your lowest ebb since the Jim Everett days (well for this fan who doesn't remember much prior to that given my age) stranger things have happened I guess. Lawrence Phillips anyone?

May I ask, why all the hate for Clausen?

Also, Dorsey only played one year in the 43, and he is not a 34 DE. I don't think I compared Dorsey to Sapp, I just said he was the best Rush DT since Sapp.

I also think it is similar to Matt Ryan. He was overrated, but he is very good.

He is the benefactor of a superior offense (especially supreme talent at wideout) facing inferior defenses. This is a clear case where the team made him look far better than what he is. I have seen it dozens of times now. If I was grading this crop Ryan Mallet would be my number 1 QB prospect thus far.

Don't know why people are so high on Dunlap. He's one of the most overrared players in college. He'll be another Calais Campbell or Michael Johnson who has great size, speed, and talent, but he has a questionable motor and disappears during games.
