Re: Pro Bowl Selections

I have no problem with Wes Welker going to the Pro Bowl. He fits what New England does perfectly, and is succesful because of it.

If I were the coach of a team, would I rather have him or Vincent Jackson? I would take Jackson. But for something like the Pro Bowl? I have zero problem with him going.

Re: Pro Bowl Selections

I always liked Belichek's quote on why they got Welker. I'm paraphrasing here but it was something like "We went out and got the one guy we couldn't cover."

I agree. It is debatable because Champ was having a great rebound year. I remember when Tony Romo challenged him, he showed everyone out there that he was still a dominate shutdown corner. I just thought that the bengal corners really had a breakout year and brought a bigger impact than Champ did this year. But yes. Either player could be qualified to make the pro bowl and it wasn't just Champ's name that allowed him to be in the pro bowl this year.

Re: Pro Bowl Selections

Clay Matthews will be replacing Bears LB Lance Briggs on the NFC Squad, according to Packersnews.com.

So that bumps our total to 4 we'll be sending to South Beach(Rodgers, Collins, Woodson, Matthews)

Re: Pro Bowl Selections

Now that Welker is out and randy is the reserve who does that put as the new reserve? I still don't exactly know how the Pro Bowl works with injuries and alternates and such.
