Just wanted to get that out there. He's at 70.55/70.6, and the record is 70.5. He says he will play the final game of the season, ala Ted Williams.

Looks like Brees won't be channeling the spirit of Ted Williams on Sunday. He'll be the emergency QB with Mark Brunell starting and Chase Daniel backing him up.

I really admire Drew Brees, but he backed into this record.

Edit: Just checked and Ken Anderson only played nine games in 1982 when he set the record. Brees earned it.

Lmao glad you cleared that up. Reminds me of how Rice set his record with a few less games then it took Moss to break it.

Apparently Mr. "Bress" is sitting the game out as Brunell is getting the start.
