OK what is the rule about kicking the ball? Someone said that you can't kick it, I told him I think he was wrong.

I thought that too, but he was sure that you can't kick it. I told him I think you are wrong. But oh well. It is all good either way.

You can't intentionally kick the ball forward on a fumble, or bat the ball forward, or do anything of the sort.
