The Chargers would be the only playoff team they beat all year and that was in week 2 when SD wasn't what they are right now. Of course I'd love to look at it by how close all the loses have been, and for them to get over that hump now that we're in the "real" season. But the reality is, if they lose the entire season will be one of beating all the teams you should have and losing to all the teams that you want to be among in the discussion of who's good.
And if they win they will be 10-7. Don't see how this disproves my point. At the moment their record (9-7) says it all- they are an above average team but not elite. They have won 2 more games than they have lost. Having a 9-7 record does not qualify them as average as you said it did in your previous post.

My earlier post said "if they lose" on Sunday. They'd be 9-8 and would still be winless against any team that can be considered good this year. If they win, we can look at them as good but just losing close ones against other good teams. In terms of evaluating the game coming up, can't really lean on one side or the other... it's up in the air.

9-7 is average dude. It is not "above-average". I don't care if 8-8 is the epitome of average. 7-9/8-8/9-7 are all AVERAGE.

Disagree, 9-7 is above average (albeit slightly) imo and 7-9 is a subpar team.

I don't know. Consistently beating average to below average teams by a substantial margin and just falling short of elite teams makes them better than average, but not elite. Simply average teams drop a few to other average or subpar teams. They don't blow them out. The only difference between the Ravens and the elite are that elite teams find ways to win close games, and elite teams are simply not scrutinized by the ref's the way the Ravens are.

Dude... 10-6 is slightly above average. 9-7, one loss from being .500, is average.

15/32 teams were 9-7 or better.

No, its slightly above average. Average is 8-8. Statistics aren't your friend. 9-7= 56 percent winning percentage aka slightly above average.
